When he asks “For what purpose am I here? For what purpose did all of this happen?” Those lines gave me a strange and subtle sense of melancholy, like it was coming from someone enduring great pain and suffering. In it he states: “My body and consciousness crumble stolidly” as he feels the difficulty and immense pressure of the power he is trying to obtain. Strangely, that dialogue was the most profound part for me. That part alone made my brain light up (aka the “braingasm”). It sounded robotic but also very primordial and it touched my soul very profoundly. The sound of Shirou’s voice as he desperately tries to traverse the storm in his mind, attempting to grasp the power needed to defeat a literal Demi God. I believe it was the most epic moment I have ever witnessed in movie history, in all my years of being alive. I am in no way saying that the Nine Lives Blade Works scene was the best out of the entire movie trilogy (certainly not the animation of the attack itself, it could have been better.) But I did wait 13 years for this to finally be animated. I also can’t get a particular scene out of my head, it’s literally stuck on repeat in my mind. Needless to say, I had multiple eargasms/eyegasms/braingasms. I never really post about this kind of thing but my girlfriend and I just finished watching this part of the trilogy on my 4k OLED with surround sound. Looking for what show an image came from?
